Plasticizer is one of the most common additives that is added to the various plastics to reduce the hardness and increase the flexibility. Flexible PVC is one of the well known examples in the plastic industry.In 2005, both European Union and the State of California banned a few most commonly used phthalate plasticizers in several applications. There is a need to develop new plasticizer grade TPU to meet the new standards. This paper will illustrate the mechanical property and fuel resistance of the newly developed phthalate-free TPU.
