Internal Quality Management in Graduate Student Recruitment Based on Control Theory

Due to some relevant political and social changes happened in the last few years, attention is increasingly being focused on quality management in graduate education in China. Universities are therefore compelled to try and develop new ways to attract graduate students and the recruitment processes have required a more transparency and accountability. In this paper, the current problems of the graduate student recruitment in China are analyzed at first. Then, the characteristics and the complexities of the quality management in graduate student recruitment are elucidated in detail. Based on the concepts of Control Theory, an internal quality management model which is composed of feed forward control system, process control system and feedback control system, is designed to optimize the graduate student recruitment in the university. Finally, the strategy of graduate recruitment and discusses the research direction in the future are addressed in the end of this paper.
