In mineral processing; chemical engineering and other powder production plants, it is very importnat and desirable to determine the overflow and corrected cut size of hydrocyclone classification. A new method was developed in order to estimate both of them without product size measurement in this paper. For a relatively stabilized grindinghydrocyclone classification system, if the operating and dimensional variables for a hydrocyclone classifier are known, the overflow and corrected cut size can be determined quickly with the method mentioned above. The verification experiments showed that the results of the estiamtion by this method are accurate and the relative errors are less than 5percent and 8percent for overflow and corrected cut size respectively.
