摘要

Computer and software have become the basic tools of the design process of pumps.With their application the development of pumps can be improved in many ways.It is possible to calculate the geometry of a hydraulic component and to visualize it by a 3D-visualizatin software.The calculated geometry cna be modified by 3D-CAD-techniques and the manufacturing process is also controlled by CAx-software products.In addition,flow calculation software makes it possible to get insight into flow behaviour and cna be used for the determination of the geometry of hydraulic components.In the present contribution the emphasis lies on the afore mentioned flow calculation software.It is described how flow calculation techniqeus,which are based on the hierarchy of the fluidmechanical equations,are appliedated for the development of an azial pump and how they work together with additional CAx-techniques.The deveopment of an axial pump is presented from the very beginning to hte manufacturing stage.
