The present basic study is carried out experimentally to examine the tip-clearance effect ont he performance of a mini turbopump by using a semi-open centrifugal impeller having the outlet diameter of 34mm,which was planned as the first step for research and development of mini-size turbopump.the results show us the favorable possiblities: the test pump has the maximum total efficiency 51
