The results of determining the theoretical stress concentration factors K_t for isotropic finite plates of uniform thickness with rectangular holes of rounded corners, finite in a direction perpendicular to that of application of the load, are presented. The factors were determined, using standard techniques, from the ratio of the maximum stress in the plate to the nominal stress. The maximum stresses were determined using finite element (FE) techniques to fine the maximum stress int eh plates for several values of the hole rectangularity parameter b/a, several values of the ratio of corner radius versus hole width r/b, and four differnt values of the ratio of hole net section to plate width d/D. The results are presented in teh usual pgraphical form, that is, K_t vs. r/b using the ratio b/a as a parameter in all the graphs.
