The objective of this research is to develop arnmanagement tool for analyzing combined heat andrnpower (CHP) natural gas liquids (NGL) recoveryrnsystems. The methodology is developed around therncentral ideas of product recovery, possible recoveryrnlevels, and the flexibility of the process. These ideasrnled to the design of the CHP-NGL recovery systemrnand the development of the equipment sizing andrneconomic analysis methods. Requirements for sizingrnrefrigeration units, heat exchangers, and pumps arerndiscussed and demonstrated. From the data sheets itrnis possible to gather costs associated with the projectrnand demonstrate the economic feasibility of thernsystem. The amount of NGL recovered, heatingrnvalue, payback period, cash flow, net present value ofrnmoney, and the internal rate of return are calculatedrnand demonstrated to be favorable to this project.
