potentiodynamic cyclic anodic polarization,electron probe microscopy analysis (EPMA) were used to study pitting corrosion behavior of type 304 stainless steel (SS) in nitroogen/carbon dixoide-dearated 0.5M sodium chloride (NaCl) solutions at 40 deg C.Type 304 SS was shown to undergo pittin gocrrosion.
