摘要

The original roundness profile consists comparatively well with the predicted roundness profile by fractal interpolation. This fractal interpolation can be applied in all round shape operation such as cylindrical grinding, turning, boring and drilling. Also, the fractal parameters can be used as a design and controlling parameters in roundness tester. The roundness prediction using fractal interpolation was realized with little fixed profile data. And using the fractal interpolation, the roundness involving lower or higher frequency properties in roundness profile can be generated appropriately by imposing different scaling factor in fractal interpolation.
