摘要

The objective of this paper is to analyze accessibility levels within a medium sized city of a developing country, comparing the results with income level data of the population. The basic assumption was that, although accessibility of all social categories is necessary to ensure their integration to the city life, this characteristic is not equally distributed in cities of developing countries. The analysis performed here, however, do not indicate a strong relationship between the accessibility values and the average income per zone, going against the initial hypothesis.
