For floating filter granular media type nitrification-denitrification process, a pilot scale testwas carried out for the purpose of applying for local wastewater treatment plants.From the results treated by holding a certain volume of wastewater influent to a reaction tank,the rate-limiting reaction of the present system was ascertained to be nitrification reaction.Further, it was confirmed that in the case of changing the daily volume of the wastewaterinfluent, a good treatability could be obtained at a filtration rate equal to conventionalbiological aerated filter.
