This paper discusses the merits of ultrasonic gauging technology as a means of evaluating and controlling wall thickness for jacketed cable and fiber. Specifically, it will examine how the technology works, how it is applied and how it improves productivity. A case study is also presented to indicate actual improvements and cost reductions.
