1 IntroductionThe stator insulation mensuration of large scale water-internal-cooling hydro-generator candiscover the insulation defect of the stator coil effectively, and also it's easy to judge theinsulation status is good or not by checking the leaking current. Therefore they're the significantinstrument to insure the safety and stabilization of running generators.As the hydro-generators in the Three Gorges Hydropower Plant (TGHP) adopt water-internal-cooling way for stator cooling, their stators insulation mensuration are differ from the air-coolinggenerator for the influence of water loop.
