This paper presents our experience in the design, implementation and numerical experimentation of a parallel application in order to calibrate and tune λ of Computational Mathematical Models [CMW(λ, x), x: state variables] with high performance (intensive calculation) requirements and an "a priori" unknown behavior of its output surface [OS(λ)]. The implementation was made using the MPI libraries system, which enables the execution on parallel computers and on clusters of computers in distributed systems. Given the portability of the MPI we show that it is a good practice, in absence of parallel computers, to take advantage of idle and dispersed computational resources existing in research centers and universities, specially in countries with limited resources.
