Classification of surfaces intersection, in the context of solids algebra is discussed in this paper. In any boolean operation on solids, intersection curves between faces delimiting each solid axe computed and used to subdivide faces and to define the new solid boundaries. The classification approach defined here uses a new paradigm: the fuzzy geometry. A fuzzy face is computed for each solids' face and used to determine its intersection status. The fuzzy faces intersection algorithm is able to find intersecting couples of faces and provides a detailed classification that specifies the number (simple or multiple) and the kind (open or closed) of each intersection. After a brief description of the fuzzy geometry, of its entities and its algorithms, the classification algorithm is presented, results obtained by the application of this algorithm onto some practical examples are shown and commented.
