摘要

The Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Expressway (HSBE) has 17 long-span bridges located overstraits where environment is very harsh. In order to keep these bridges in sound state formore than 200 years, the Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Expressway Company Limited (thecompany) is conducting maintenance based on the concept of the preventive maintenance.This paper describes the concept of asset management and each maintenance element ofthe HSBE.
