In the paper presented are course and results of investigations of the influence of slide bearing bush and shaft mutual misalignment on the dynamic properties of the large power turboset. Former numerical models used for simulations assumed coaxial position of a bush and journal. Engineering experience and practical cases led to development of a slide bearing model taking into account a misalignment. The defect was simulated by means of numerical model of the turboset. Simulation was performed for each bearing individually in both, horizontal and vertical planes. Maximum values of the skewness angle were calculated for each bearing at both planes with a criterion of minimal oil film thickness. The influence of the misalignment on dynamic properties of turboset was presented with a particular focus on amplitudes of relative and absolute vibration. Those quantities are measured by a condition monitoring system. Basing on the results of the simulation multiple defect-symptom diagnostic relations were built. These diagnostic relations were used as learning and testing data sets for a knowledge base of an diagnostic system based on the inverse diagnostic model. This diagnostic system is implemented at one of Power Stations.
