摘要

该论文报告了作者对某职业学院成人学员运用掌握学习的方法进行英语教学的研究成果.作者进行该次研究的主要目的是:(1)考察掌握学习的方法是否比传统的教学方法对成人的英语教学更有效.(2)考察采用掌握学习的方法是否会使基础较差的学生也取得较好的学习成绩.(3)激发学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性.作者在第一章中对该论文进行了总体介绍.第二章回顾了对掌握学习有重要影响的学习理论——行为主义学习理论.作者在第三章中讨论了掌握学习在成人英语教学中有效应用的可能性.第四章是该论文的关键部分.第五章给出了研究的结论.作者不但讨论了研究的结果还对此进行了分析.此外,作者还阐述了该研究的局限性并指出了未来研究的方向.结果表明:(1)采用掌握学习班级的学生在学校期末统测中70分及格率为92%,达到了预期的目标.(2)基础较差的学生学习成绩好于其他班学生.他们通过掌握学习的教学活动,提高了学习英语的自信心.(3)学生的学习积极性比以前有所提高,学习的兴趣有所增加,而且每周用于学习英语的时间也有所延长.(4)掌握学习是一种对成人比较有效的教学方法.然而,由于样本的规模和实验时间均非常有限,该次实验的结果还有待进一步的实验加以证明.
