摘要

隐喻是一种普遍现象,许多学者对其进行了研究。然而关于植物隐喻的研究却很少。即使有一些国内的学者进行了一定的研究,但是他们大都限定在某几个典型植物的研究分析。而且对于语料的选择,大多数人都是多种体裁混合筛选,包括小说,谚语和诗歌等等,并没有统一的体裁。更别说是研究它对高中英语教学的启示了。而统一的体裁更具说服力和比较性。基于英汉诗歌中存在大量的植物隐喻,本论文语料均选自英汉诗歌。
  本论文针对植物领域,对中西诗歌中更多的植物隐喻现象进行了深入对比,分析了造成中西诗歌植物隐喻异同的根源。并且指出,植物隐喻的研究对高中教学带来的启示。研究发现,英汉诗歌都大多用花或树来做隐喻。中西诗歌中一般都用花来隐喻女人,树一般作为情感的媒介又或是抽象事物。而关于花和树的不同隐喻中,中文诗歌一般多用花或树表达人的特性,而在英文诗歌中,更多的是用植物承载诗人的情感。而在英文诗歌中,对树的隐喻往往感情色彩比较强烈。通过对中西植物隐喻的根源分析,本文发现,植物属性等客观因素和文人本身等主观因素一样影响着植物隐喻。
