The focus of this thesis is the development and establishment of the Perris Valley Museum Historical Archives in Perris, California, a community archive operated as a subsidiary of its parent organization the Perris Valley Museum and overseen by the governing body of the Perris Valley Historical and Museum Association. The Perris Valley Museum Historical Archives was established in 2010 by the founding archivist, the author of this thesis, Christina Alanne Perris.
