摘要

General Hans von Seeckt is regarded as the one of the most significant figure in Weimar Germany history. However, few people know that he came to China in 1933 and helped Chinese Nationalist Government reorganize troops and establish modern military industry. At the same time, China desperately need a notable advisor to provide suggestions about national defense in order to stop Japanese invasion. Seeckt only stayed in China for ten months. Therefore, what did he do to help China become a mysterious topic? My research will focus on Seeckt's military report that he wrote for Chinese government. Via study his report and the application of his military thoughts in China, people will have a more clearer image of Chinese war preparation before the Sino-Japanese War.
