摘要

The crime of stalking is often an under reported crime that receives very little attention at the collegiate level. Little is known regarding their ability to recognize the elements of stalking and their reporting habits. This study expanded on Donald Black's Theory of Law and feminist theory by applying them to a regression study focused on the college student's ability recognize the crime and whether he or she feels its serious enough to warrant reporting. In the case of this study, gender and previous experience were applied to stalking scenarios in regards to recognition and reporting behavior. Previous experience was shown not to be a predictor, while gender was shown to have an influence on reporting only.
