摘要

This master's thesis focuses on the effectiveness of one particular approach used to steer troubled technological projects away from failure and back on the path to success. Our main goal is to challenge the initial assumption, which is that the proposed three-step approach will effectively turn around technological projects headed for failure. We used ideas emerging from three distinct fields of study to construct our model: project turnaround, change management and quality management. The first step, diagnosis, includes the process definition, the project history, the problem definition and the study of the causes. The second step is the solution finding and implementation. It includes the search for possible solutions, the feasibility analysis, the selection of solutions, the planning of the implementation and the implementation of the solutions. The third and last phase is the evaluation of the outcome. In addition, obtaining support from top management, keeping people informed and involving people are strategies that are used throughout the approach. (Abstract shortened by UMI.)
