摘要

The evolution of security standards and the weathering of structures involve frequent risk evaluation of the existing dams to maintain their conformity. The Quebec's government has adopted its first law on dam security. In this thesis, the contribution of the new legislation to the risk evaluations already performed in dam security in Quebec will be determined.; The automatization of six methods commonly used in risk evaluation (USBR-RPBS, HQ-Poly-Indices, HQ-Poly-Cotation, ICHQ, UNSW and UNSW Generalised) and of the new legislation was made to determine this contribution. CERBERE (Contrôle de l'État de Risque des Barrages Érigés pour la Retenue des Eaux) is the tool in which these automatizations are grouped.; Three dams (located in the province of Quebec) were studied with CERBERE. The results obtained were used to determine the contribution of the new law on dam security.; This new legislation enable dam's owner to have a better knowing of their structures, to be more prepare for emergency and more conscious of the hazards caused by their dams. The results obtained with the new law confirm those obtained by others methods.
