The researcher created a survey using surveys from the National Environmental Education Training Foundation (NEETF) to assess the environmental knowledge' attitudes, and behaviors of law students at two state of Kentucky law schools. The survey was given to law students at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville and the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. The results from these law students were then compared with the national data from the NEETF Survey to determine if differences existed for environmental knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors between the selected population of law students and the representation of the general public in the NEETF studies. Second, the results were then analyzed to determine if significant differences existed between the law students at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law and the students at the Salmon P. Chase College of Law and these male and female law students.;The results from this study are promising to educators since the results demonstrate the need for education to achieve an environmentally literate citizenry. Furthermore, these results demonstrate the need for continuing life long environmental education to maintain a population that may make informed decisions concerning the environment.;Previous research indicates that environmental knowledge is positively correlated to education level. In turn, environmental knowledge is positively correlated with pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors. From the data from this study the researcher concluded that the level of education is positively correlated to the level of environmental knowledge. This population of law students had a higher score on the environmental knowledge section of the survey. Furthermore, these law students also expressed pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors. The results from this study are consistent with past research that demonstrated a relationship between environmental knowledge, attitudes, and behavior.
