Objective. To analyze the trends of physician compliance with cervical cancer screening guidelines, during and after an audit with feedback intervention.;Results. The compliance rates were 64.6% during the intervention versus 82.9% after the intervention ;Conclusion. The audit with feedback approach showed no recidivism. The discrepancy between recommendation and performance is an area for improvement. An emphasis should be placed on performance of screening based on patient history, rather than age.;Methods. An enforcement period between July 1994 and December 1994, to ensure the completion of a health assessment form with a cancer screening reminder, was compared to a post intervention period, between January 1995 and July 1995. The overall compliance rates with cervical cancer screening guidelines were also determined.
