摘要

The problem is motivated by the statistical study of the strength of a bundle of n parallel filaments in reliability theory. Based on the classical Daniels model (1945) as well as that in Sen et al. (1973), we proposed a new model by incorporating the individual variations such as length, diameter and so on. The limiting behavior of the conditional sample functions, which represent the strength of a bundle, together with the properties of the related empirical processes is studied, and some weak convergence results are obtained. The corresponding resampling methods and a potential change point problem associated with the bundle strength are also investigated. The related consistence properties are established.
