Many universities and colleges across the country and around the globe are concentrating on becoming increasingly international. The extent to which they are internationalizing varies widely and depends greatly on strategic initiatives and priorities on the part of university administration, faculty, staff and students alike.;Despite the many advantages to internationalize, few Institutions of Higher Education have the resources, knowledge or administrative support to initiate or sustain a model that encourages internationalization across the university or college and throughout the curriculum, as well as abroad.;The work that follows is guided by one simple question: how do we know how to do our jobs and how do we transform our praxis so that we can improve upon a design, innovate, challenge tradition, affect change and increase visibility, support and legitimacy for what it is that we do?;In this dissertation I'll identify many examples of the "then and now" of internationalization strategies, initiatives, programs and trains-of-thought that I have been directly involved in during my tenure at this university. From Chang's 2008 Autoethnography as Method and Bochner and Ellis' 1996 Talking over Ethnography and Composing Ethnography: Alternative Forms of Qualitative Writing, I'll develop my methodology---the autoenthnography---as a means of reflecting on, analyzing and interpreting my transformative praxis and grounding my "stories" in the broader sociocultural context at my university---its students, staff, faculty and administration---as well as beyond our campus to include community and legislative stakeholders. My ultimate goal for this culminating work is to leave my university with a roadmap/blueprint that identifies a unique set of best practices and the means to implement them at our university---a focused approach to campus internationalization and one that is custom fitted to the personality of our institution.
