There was a trend toward utilizing educational specialists in professional schools of medicine, but not in the case of business, engineering, and law schools. Educational specialists engaged mostly in improving the curriculum and instruction primarily and evaluation and philosophy secondarily.;It was recommended that educational specialists continue to be utilized with more emphasis on evaluation and philosophy. It was also recommended that additional studies be conducted, one of a follow-up nature five years hence; the second, to determine optimum preparation guidelines for educational specialists; the third, to determine the feasibility of establishing a preparation center for educational specialists. Such studies should be coordinated, co-sponsored by, and limited to law and medical associations.
