摘要

This study looks at the literacy practices of ten female students in first-year composition across contexts. The main purpose of this study is to join the conversation concerning how Millennial students perceive their literacy practices across both in-school and out-of-school contexts. A major factor in their perceptions is their in-school experience and how they identify as a student. Furthermore, the intersection points between in-school and out-of-school contexts serve as a means of understanding whether or not the participants of the study are aware of their use of literacy practices and reappropriation. Literacy practices play key roles in how Millennials interact in a variety of contexts and technology (a major factor in the lives of many Millennials) creates a unique disconnect in awareness of literacy practices and understanding of reappropriation between contexts.
