Starch is considered as one of the best biopolymer polymers in the world. It is primary used in food, but now it has begun to be used in industry and other fields. The purpose of this thesis is to study the interactions between starch and other molecules to can be better understanding how the biodegradation process and starch behavior going on. These interactions lead to produce polymer, which has good properties to be used in many products: such as, bags or children's toys. This kind of interaction can be determined by mixing starch molecule with a different amount of low density of polyethylene (LDPE) in the presence of TiO2. In this work, we investigated the chemical and thermal properties of starch chain with different amounts of low- density polyethylene by using DSC and FTIR as analytical techniques. The results show that interactions exist between starch and the low-density polyethylene molecules, which introduce by change in the enthalpy and transition temperature that depend on the TiO2 and the amounts of low-density polyethylene. Furthermore, the low-density polyethylene makes that difference in the stability in order of the structure's orientation.
