This project used a case study approach to analyze the value of human capital investment in corporate America as well as in the National Football League. The researcher looked to examine how an employee or player was valued by their company or team, what made them valuable, and how to retain this value in a competitive nature. A case study approach allowed the research to be examined on an individual level and then combined to describe how each industry treated value. By analyzing many cases, it can be said that in each instance human capital value is valued the same way. The meaning of value can go in many different directions, leaving future research on such a topic open-ended.
