Similarity forms the necessary condition for metaphor, as well as the basis for the formation of metaphor. As a creative cognitive mechanism of human language, it creates the connection be⁃tween materials. Essentially being a creative act, its thinking mechanism triggers man's free imagination, which makes it possible the abstract thinking of metaphorical reasoning. The similarity of metaphor creation re⁃mains the conscious behavior of cognitive subject. Through the research of cognitive construction, it contributes to reveal the linguistic creativity and the nature of language in the deep structure, thereby expanding the deep understanding of the nature of metaphor.
