This wreck lay 9km east of the seat of Yongcheng city, and was excavated in 1996.The hull is higher in the southeast and lower in the northwest, measures at present 24m in length, above 5m in width and about 1.4m in inner depth, and consists of bows, a stern, a cabin, sides and a bottom,with the upper part of the bows missing and the eastern half of the southern side separated from the ship body. Remaining objects are unearthed from the wreck as well as the silt above it and the river strata beneath the ship bottom. Those from the wreck and the silt include porcelain (tricolor water droppers,basins, square pots, jars and bowls), pottery (glazed bowls, basins and vessel covers) and a coin (kai yuan tong bao) . Among those from beneath the ship bottom are also porcelain (basins, vessel covers,and bowls), glazed pottery and coins, as well as bamboo mats and wicker baskets. According to the features of the objects from the wreck and the dates of the coins, the ship must be assigned to the Tang period.
