China＇s personal income tax threshold isexpected to rise to 5,000 yuan （$776）per month from the current 3,500 yuan（$544）, according to a draft amendment on theIndividual Income Tax Law recently submittedto the countr＇s top legislature, the StandingCommittee of the National People＇s Congress.The amendment is the seventh tax overhaulsince the personal income tax code was issuedin 1980.
