With the model that the number of repeating units of the homologous series varies successively,we were able to described as the following equations:σ=(a 0+a 1n+a 2n 2)/(1+b 2n 2),where a 0?a 1?a 2?b 2 all refer to the constants,n to the number of repeating units,σ to the condensed type physical properties of homologous straight chain single fatty acids series.Significant correlation was found between the condensed type physical properties of homologous straight chain single fatty acids series and their number of repeating units in this models.
