Investigated in this paper was the absorbing and distributing of nicotine in the tobacco and filter tip during the course of smoking, gas Chromatography being u sed.The experimental result indicated that the nicotine in the suck part of ci garette was absorbed by tobacco and filter tip together.Before the cigarette was sucked to 3/4,the nicotine in the left tobacco and filter tip being accounted t o about 90% of the total,the part entered into the body is less than 10%. But if the cigarette was sucked to the end,about 50% of the whole nicotine would enter ed into the body.
