湖泊地名景观是武汉地域文化演变的独特产物。运用地名学中通名和专名法分析发现，武汉市166个湖泊绝大多数以“湖”为名，但通名多达16种；三分之一湖泊一湖多名，少数湖泊重名。地理景物地名、方位地名、人物地名、物产地名、派生地名，以“龙”为名是武汉湖泊命名主要方式，表现出多元的滨湖社区历史地理和民俗文化，反映了人们对人居环境的独特认知。武汉湖泊地名景观具有很强的通俗性，在传承中较为稳定，但也有部分发生变化。音近音讹、雅化取向、权属变更和城市建设是湖泊地名景观变化的主要原因。%The placename landscape of lakes is the product of Wuhan regional culture,it reflects people’s cognitive methods of lake geography and the special understandings of living environment. Using the Analysis method of general name and proper name in toponymy, it can be found that there are 16 general names in Wuhan’s 166 lakes,but most of them named "lake"; 1/3 of lakes have several names;and a few lakes using the same name. The names of Wuhan lakes can be classified to geographical scenery name, location name, characters name, product name, Derived name and totem name, etc, showing the diversity of the lakeside communities in historical evolution and the folk culture in Wuhan.The placename landscape of lakes has a strong popularity in Wuhan, although the lakes’ names are stable during the historical heritage, there are also some changes. Similar pronunciation, pronunciation errors, elegance orientation,the change of lakes’ ownership and urbanization are the main reasons leading to name change.
