榆林堡是元明清时期京北交通线上的重要驿站之一，它既是北京邮驿文化源远流长的历史见证和重要载体，又是研究北京军事和交通史等方面的重要依据和实物遗存。在实地调研和文献研读的基础上，对榆林堡的历史沿革、空间格局、重点建筑、装饰艺术等方面进行论述，揭示出榆林堡极高的历史价值和文化价值。%Yulin Bao is one important stopover on traffic line in north of Beijing, and it is both the witness to history and an important carrier of a long culture of the Beijing Post Station, but also the important evidence and physical information of the military and transportation history of Beijing etc. Based on the field research and literature, we discuss the history , spatial pattern, major building, decorative arts and other aspects of Yulin Bao, and then reveal the high historical value and cultural value of Yulin Bao.
