The social structure of vernacular settlement is based on production and life mode, reflects features of social type, and composes the settlement’s physical space. With the transformation of society, the change of social structure wil lead to the restructure of settlement space. The restructure includes internal space construction and regional spatial distribution of settlements.% 聚居人群社会结构的建立以生产生活合作方式为基础，反映出聚落营造时社会类型的特征，并将人群的社会结构特征投射在聚落物质空间的营造上，社会结构的转型必然导致聚落空间的更新。随着由农耕进入工业的社会转型，传统聚落内人群社会结构发生了相应的改变，促使聚落在区域空间分布上的整合更新和内部空间建造上的更新。
