The memory, sense of urban landscape and the relative social psychology, have been the focus of researchers of urban anthropogeography, urban history and urban sociology, but for the lack of intersectional method, few fruits really relate the historical course of landscape evolution with the social psychology in practical world, so that the scientific value of the conclusion is reduced. This paper tries to make some breakthrough by using the intersectional method of historical geography and Kevin Lynch＇ s image space. First, this paper rebuilds the geographical change of the Shanghai shanty settlement. Then, analyses the historical image of it by collecting data from fieldwork. Finally it gets to the conclusion that the discrimination against squatter settlement and its residenters has entered deeply into Shanghai culture.%城市景观的记忆、感知及其所反映的社会心态机制，是城市人文地理学、城市史学、城市社会心理学、城市文化遗产学等共同关注的课题，但由于跨学科方法的交融不够，少有成果真正将城市景观作为一种有历史含量的地理现象，认真地复原其形成和演变的历史过程，并将景观史与现实社会心态有机地联系起来，以致影响了研究结论的全面性与科学性。文章采用跨学科方法，在这一课题上有所创新和突破：首先，以历史地理学方法复原了上海棚户区景观的演变历程；其次，运用凯文·林奇的意象调查方法统计了今天上海人对棚户区的文化感知状态；最后分析上海棚户区的景观演变史在现实社会中的心态效应。
