China is currently implementing the strategy of sustainable development, In terms of resources. To achieve this goal,we should not just rely on energy in general, but also do a lot of the development of new energy. In order to make China on pluralistic era, new energy development is the only way. China occupies a large part of the coal resources, therefore, we not only should be the rational use of these coal to develop new energy,we can also reduce the development of coal is not necessary caused by environmental pol ution. Coal to methanol is a new energy. The development of this new energy sources, to a large extent can realize the development of China's diversified,and al eviate the situation of our country's energy shortage. This paper analyzes the present situation of coal to methanol, discusses the development of coal to methanol and related application, in order to contribute to the implementation of coal to methanol in Chinese long-term development.%中国目前实行的是可持续发展战略，体现在资源方面则是实现资源在中国的可持续发展，要实现这一目标，就要做到，不仅仅只是依靠一般的能源，还要做到大量开发新型的能源。为了使中国走上多元化的时代，新型的能源的开发是必经之路。我国占据着煤炭资源的很大一部分，因此，不仅应该合理利用这些煤炭来开发出新型的能源，还可以减轻对煤炭不必要的开发造成的环境污染。煤制甲醇就是一种新型能源，这种新型能源的开发，可以在很大程度上实现我国多元化的发展，以及减轻我国能源短缺的情况。本文通过对煤制甲醇的现状的分析，探讨了煤制甲醇的发展以及有关的运用，以期为实现我国煤制甲醇在中国的长远的发展做出贡献。
