Objective To explore the value of acupuncture Baihui, Yongquan acupoint treatment for senile dementia.Methods 86 cases of senile dementia were randomly divided into two groups, 43 cases in each group. B group was treated with conventional western medicine treatment, the patients were given acupuncture Baihui, Yongquan acupoint treatment on the basis of conventional Western medicine. To observe the therapeutic effect of the two groups of patients.ResultsAfter treatment, mental and neurological function in patients with group A were better than group B (P<0.05), the total effective rate was 81.40%, 55.81% higher than that in group B (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture Baihui, Yongquan acupoint can effectively improve the therapeutic effect of senile dementia.%目的：探究针灸百会、涌泉穴对老年性痴呆的治疗价值。方法选取86例来我院治疗的老年性痴呆患者，随机分为甲、乙两组，每组43例。乙组患者给予常规西药治疗，甲组患者在常规西药治疗基础上给予针灸百会、涌泉穴治疗。对比观察两组患者治疗效果。结果治疗后，甲组患者智力及神经功能评分优于乙组（P＜0.05），甲组总体有效率为81.40%，明显高于乙组的55.81%（P＜0.05）。结论针灸百会、涌泉穴能有效提高老年性痴呆治疗效果。
