Internet of things (IOT) technology could ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information in drug circulation for its characters such as terminal mobility, flexibility and convenient access. In this paper, the author discussed in detail how to use IOT technology to achieve tracking and tracing of drug safety in circulation combined with GIS, GPS and other information technologies for the technical characteristics of IOT. Studies found that IOT technology could effectively improve the overall level of circulation of information and service capabilities in the field of drug circulation, enhance the management transparency of drug market in our country, and reduce the incidence of medical accidents.
