The heel soft tissue defects is a common clinical disease caused by many factors including trauma, tumor, and ulceration. Heel is a main structure for load - bearing and walking, and therefore its repair is extremely important. Since the common skin graft can not provide satisfactory physiological functions due to the special requirements of the soft tissue of heel, flaps are more commonly used for the repair of heel soft tissue defects.
