Cardiovascular diseases ( CVD ) have become a major life -threatening diseases in aging societies. Statins, as effective and safe treatment for lowering lipids, have been recommended for CVD prevention and treatment in many countries. Based on the Expert Concensus on the Application of Statins in Elderly Individuals with Abnormal Blood Lipids, which was developed by Chinse Society of Gerontology CVD Committee in 2009, this articles reviews the up - to - dated literature with an attemtp to reach new understandings on the application of statins in this population.%随着我国进入老龄化社会,心脑血管疾病已经成为威胁生命的重要疾病,他汀类药物被视为安全有效的调脂药物,已成为各国心脑血管疾病防治指南的推荐用药.本文参考2009年我国老年学学会心脑血管病专业委员会起草的<中国血脂异常老年人使用他汀类药物的专家共识>,结合最新的他汀类药物治疗的相关文献进行分析,希望获得老年他汀类药物治疗的最新认识.
