Objective To understand the prevalence of metabolic syndrome ( MS ) and its distribution in a certain suburban district of Shanghai.Methods Questionnaires, physical examinations and laboratory tests were performed by cluster sampling method.The MS diagnosis was according to the definitions of International Diabetes Federation ( IDF ) and Chinese Medical Association ( CDS ).The MS prevalence was observed.Results According to IDF criterion, the crude MS prevalence was 19.21％ , the standardized was 16.06％.The MS prevalence was higher in females than in males ( 18.39％ , 13.97％ , respectively, P ＜0.01 ).According CDS2004 diagnostic criterions, the crude MS prevalence was 20.35％ , the standardized was 16.64％ , no significant difference in prevalence between males and females ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusion MS prevalence is relatively high in suburban residents in Shanghai.Priority should be given to community integrated control.%目的 了解上海近郊某区35～74岁居民代谢综合征的患病率及其分布特征.方法 采用整群抽样方法,进行问卷调查、体格检查和实验室检查.代谢综合征的诊断分别按照国际糖尿病联盟(IDF)和中华医学会(CDS)的定义,比较代谢综合征和各组分患病率.结果 按照IDF标准,代谢综合征的粗患病率为19.21%,标化患病率为16.05%,代谢综合征患病率女性高于男性(分别为18.36%、13.97%,P＜0.01);按照CDS2004的诊断标准,代谢综合征的粗患病率为20.35%,标化患病率为16.64%,男女患病率比较差异无统计学意义(P＞0.05).结论 上海近郊居民代谢综合征患病率较高,应优先开展代谢综合征的社区综合防治.
