Rectal cancer is among the most common gastrointestinale malignancy , with an increasing incidence rate at home and abroad. Surgical resection is presently the first choice for treatment. Preoperative imaging assessment of tumor stages can provide important information for the determination of operation technique and suitable treatment plan. MRI exhibits a unique advantage in the diagnosis and treatment of rectal cancer because of its excellent soft tissue resolutions and its multi - dimensional and multi - parameters imaging characteristics.
