@@ INTRODUCTIONrnHydroxyapatite (HA) biocoatings can form osseointegration at a shorter time than metallic implants, and plasma sprayed (PS) HA coating has received the widest studies and is now used clinically. However, due to the high temperature of plasma flame, soluble impurity phases and amorphous calcium phosphate were contained which declined the bonding strength of the coating, and spoiled the excellent biological properties of HA.
