AIM：To observe the distribution of NK ce lls in gingiva of elderly patients with periodontitis. METHODS: The localizations and numbers of NK cells, T lymphocytes and B lymphocytes in gin giva of 15 elderly patients with periodontitis were measured with immunohistoche mical method and were compared with those of 10 adult patients with periodontiti s. RESULTS: The number of NK cells in adult patients was s ignificantly greater than that in elderly patients(P<0.01)，and the cases of NK cells position in adult patients were more than that in elderly patients. [ WT5”HZ〗CONCLUSION: The function of immunological regulation in loca l gingiva of elderly patients with periodontitis is disorder, and the function o f NK cells is low.%目的：观察老年牙周炎牙龈组织中自然 杀伤(NK)细胞的分布。方法：采用免疫组织化学方法对15例老年牙 周炎患者和10例慢性成人牙周炎患者牙龈组织中NK细胞、T淋巴细胞和B淋巴细胞的分布及阳 性计数进行比较研究。结果：慢性成人牙周炎组NK阳性细胞计数明 显高于老年牙周炎组(P<0.01)，慢性成人牙周炎组NK阳性细胞表达率也高于老年牙周炎 组。结论：由于年龄增加的影响，老年牙周炎患者局部牙龈组织中 出现免疫调节功能的紊乱，NK细胞功能降低。
